What will the apprentice be doing?

A typical day at Technopoly will involve:

  • Working with our team members to support customers using our software
  • Independently making and answering customer calls
  • Applying knowledge of our products to support customer queries
  • Using our online support portal you will categorise and prioritise customers and their queries
  • Organising customer queries into a ticketing system
  • Directing tickets towards the appropriate team member
  • Triaging tickets on the support desk
  • Show understanding of our two main products to answer generic queries that arise
  • Assessing tickets and carry out tasks like, identifying and resolving bugs in the software, actioning training requests and work development requests

As you gain confidence and knowledge in our products you will be able to:

  • Answer more advanced technical queries (level 1 and 2 queries)
  • Be involved in customer purchases by setting up the products documentation to match our customers branding
  • Get involved with product testing which will help to keep your knowledge of our products and software up to date 
  • Diversify your skills and engage with other in-house training and other exciting opportunities, such as being part of our monthly update cycles and training in customer facing roles 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will attend Cornwall College St Austell one day a week (during term times)
  • You will achieve a Level 3 Digital Support Technician qualification 

If not already achieved, Level 2 English and maths will need to be obtained before end point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification is an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Upon successful completion fo the apprenticeship there is potential to become a fulltime team member of the team at Technopoly
  • Potential to further training and pursue a level 4 course with Technopoly
