What will the apprentice be doing?

We have an opportunity for an apprentice to work within a worldwide renowned name in the construction industry, committed to working towards achieving lowering the carbon footprint by retrofitting properties, ensuring they become warm, safe and energy efficient. This role will provide an introduction to PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 retrofit processes that will be required in order to achieve Net Zero targets by 2050.

Working towards a Customer Service qualification, the apprentice will work as a Resident Liaison Officer, providing the main point of contact for local residents, creating an essential link between the company and the local community.

The work of a resident Liaison Officer requires an understanding of the needs and concerns of the local residents, looking to act as first line of communication in helping to minimise the impact of works on local residents.

No two days will be alike, and your role will include:

  • Looking to build positive relationships with local community residents and groups and organisations
  • Keeping local residents up to date with progression reports
  • Providing written and verbal reports
  • Providing efficient communication between project team and local residents
  • Attending local resident group meetings
  • Responding to telephone and email enquiries
  • Promoting the work of the team in a positive way
  • Increasing knowledge within the local community
  • Having a clear understanding of the contracts and set requirements
  • Supervising any site visits from local resident organisations
  • Key administrative tasks
  • Collating information
  • Involvement in production of local newsletters
  • Ensuring the highest level of customer service at all
    times

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The apprentice will work towards a Level 2 Customer Service qualification, receiving regular online tutorial sessions and carrying out set assignments
  • Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 1 English and maths and to have taken level 2 English and maths tests prior to completion of their apprenticeship

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

There will be opportunity to move into full time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships New Anglia is a project part funded by the European Union to support Apprenticeships in Norfolk and Suffolk.  We work in partnership with TrAC, a DfE approved Flexi Job Apprenticeship Agency who will employ you for the duration of the apprenticeship and pay your salary. You should be aware that you will be placed with a host employer but you will not be employed by them. Your placement may change during the course of your apprenticeship but TrAC will support you with this and will also continue to support you into employment or further learning at the end of your apprenticeship.
