What will the apprentice be doing?
PETA Ltd are proud to be working with Brittany Ferries to recruit a dedicated and confident facilities administrator apprentice.
The facilities administrator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Execution of administrative tasks including but not limited to, staff benefits; keeping insurance policy details up-to-date (relating to company vehicles in particular); and making the processing of orders and invoices efficient for the company’s suppliers
- It is the norm for new tasks to be introduced to administrator workstreams
- Provision of information on staff benefits on the intranet: Connect
Printing of passenger documents and ships emergency cabin-key sets - Stock control of office items
- Provision of business travel arrangements as needed by BAI UK employees
- Provision of pool car bookings and liaison with facilities
- Assistants to ensure vehicles are checked and ready for employee use
- Administration of meeting room and individual office bookings
- Keeping bookable rooms and offices in good order and preparation for use on the day
- Provision of entry / exit management of colleagues and visitors
- Administration of deliveries in and mail out
- Provision of first point of contact in the event of problems with / queries about the office buildings and facilities
- Provision of minute-taking at meetings relating to the staff consultative committee, health, safety & environment and the staff social events committee
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard. You will complete a 15-month apprenticeship which includes 12 days at the PETA training centre in Cosham. You will be supported every 6 weeks with visits from your PETA Learning & Development Coach.
Brittany Ferries will arrange travel to the PETA Training Centre in Cosham to allow the successful candidate to commute for their apprenticeship.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is the possibility for the suitable and successful candidate to move into a full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship.
