What will the apprentice be doing?
- Help develop the strategy, goals, and objectives for the information security training, education, and awareness program.
- Support ISO27001 and data privacy compliance
- Drive program towards maturity. (Repeatable processes, metrics etc.)
- Help to identify the top human risks to our organization and the behaviours we need to change to mitigate those risks.
- Ensure that our information security awareness program communicates our security policies and requirements so that people know, understand, and can follow them.
- Create, review and maintain policy and process documentation
- Develop new or identify existing information security training, education, and awareness activities appropriate for campus audiences.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing information security training, education, and awareness program/activities.
- Create a metrics framework that can effectively measure engagement, behaviours, and impact.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Data Protection and Information Governance Practitioner (Level 4) Standard which includes:
Level 2 Functional Skills in English Level 2 Functional Skills in maths
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is a full-time job available once the apprenticeship has been completed. Additionally, any vacancies within our global group are advertised internally, giving apprentices the opportunity to further their career. This could include secondment opportunities overseas.
