What will the apprentice be doing?
As an Apprentice Quality Inspector, you will carry out the following tasks:
- Adhere to inspection documentation to ensure a standardised approach to inspection routines
- Complete all associated documentatio to provide feedback and traceability information (PCRs-PQRs-RFT-SPC)
- Ensure non-conforming product is contained, accurately recorded and reported at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure that all equipment in use is within calibration
- Ensure a prompt and efficient measuring service is provided to internal customers
- Inspect samples taken from production at first off, last off and defined intervals
- Verify conformance to specifications
- Record results of inspections correctly and maintain traceability
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
This is a 12 month Lean Operative Apprenticeship and training will include the following:
- Training will be delivered via virtual classroom sessions over a period of 12-months, including distance learning materials, as well as regular visits by your assessor at the company site
'Off the Job Training' subjects include:
- Health & Safety within a Manufacturing Environment
- Communicating and working effectively within a manufacturing environment
- Working relationships and individual rights & responsibilities within a manufacturing environment
- Application of workplace organisation and work-related problem-solving techniques
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- To become a key member of the manufacturing team, once this apprenticeship is complete, with further progression
