What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To assist customers and engineers
  • Identify and source the correct parts for the machines
  • Participate in product campaigns & promotions
  • Telephone, email and front counter sales & enquiry handling.
  • Stock control
  • Stock changes update
  • Parts identification from customer enquiries using OEM online catalogues
  • To ensure customer satisfaction and retention through efficient and effective service and good communication
  • To respond to customer enquiries for parts availability & prices, complaint handling and issue credit notes where necessary
  • To process customer orders through the mainframe system accurately and on a timely basis meeting delivery expectations/minimising delay
  • To keep customers advised of their order status
  • To work with the Parts Manager identifying customer opportunities and stock requirements
  • To minimise accidents
  • Liaise with other departments and colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met e.g., credit control, service, JCB sales, service and customer services
