What will the apprentice be doing?

Main Duties (include but are not limited to):

  • Respond professionally to all emails
  • Make and receive phone calls, communicating effectively, handling any enquiries
  • Ensure all information is up to date on Candidate and Client database
  • Ensure all processes are in line with company data protection, confidentiality and GDPR policies and regulations
  • Identify new vacancies and pass on to MD
  • Write job descriptions based on Client requirements
  • Ensure all job descriptions are in the LHP format
  • Advertise jobs on relevant job boards and social media profiles
  • Monitor job adverts and ensure all applicants are responded to and adverts are up to date
  • Filter through all incoming applications and forward onto RC
  • Use LinkedIn and relevant job boards to headhunt and obtain suitable CVs
  • Contact ALL applicants on the process of their application
  • Email potential candidates information of relevant job roles
  • Pre-screen candidates via telephone and book in for RC
  • (Over time) conduct telephone, video and face to face interviews
  • Send out interview confirmation emails for both internal and external interviews
  • Post and pre interview candidate calls, providing the right information
  • Calling candidates and make relevant job offers, following up and providing clients with relevant information at all times
  • Keep regular contact with candidates pre start date
  • Ensure CRM system is kept up to date at all times
  • Develop and monitor a strong personal LinkedIn presence
  • Prepare client packs for new business meetings
  • Obtain testimonials from successful candidates and clients
  • Follow company aftercare procedure, contacting placed candidates and clients regularly
  • Liaising regularly with existing clients to discuss their needs
  • Contact candidates on database regularly to find out their needs
  • Maintain, monitor and update candidate information filing system
  • Develop an understanding of local job market
  • Research local companies and add details to database
  • Make initial call to potential clients to obtain relevant information and update CRM
  • Regular research competitors carrying out regular competitor analysis
  • Review job boards and contact regular employers to offer LHP services
  • Regular shadowing of senior LHP staff
  • Contact candidates to create (and regularly update) talent profiles on company website

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • The learner will be studying the Recruitment Resourcer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
  • Day release to West Suffolk College.
  • Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Things to consider

Please ensure that you have a mode of transport in place to use as the location of this vacancy is does not run near any public transport routes. The candidate can work one day from home per week initially, moving to two over 3-6 months (when ready).
