  • Annual wage

    £18,000.00

    Plus 2 paid days a year for volunteering, cheaper gym memberships & Tastecards , discounts with selected high street retailers, 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), WSP's Cycle to Work Scheme, reduced rates on gadget insurance and other benefits.

  • Working week

    Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Exact working hours are agreed with your Line Manager, however an example of standard hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm with one hour for lunch.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • As a Project Management Apprentice in our Bridges team, based in Basingstoke, your role will include learning how to take responsibility for scheme delivery.
  • The role supports effective decision-making whilst promoting a culture of partnership and collaboration.
  •  It’s a crucial function of the role to create and maintain good relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to support the smooth delivery of each project.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend University of Portsmouth to study a Project Management degree apprenticeship and gain a bachelors qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment.

Apprentices will achieve either a BA or BSc Honours degree in Project Management. Apprentices are required to achieve an International Project Management Association (IPMA) Level D qualification or equivalent, prior to taking the end point assessment.

You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Project Management.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As this will be a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to work towards gaining Chartered status with your chosen institution, as well as the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals.
