What will the apprentice be doing?

This is your chance to learn about how finance is integral to any modern business and how you could be there at the centre of that work in a vibrant growing industry. As a Finance apprentice, you will gain real life work experience from day one, gaining solid foundations in accounting principles, reporting standards as well as reporting and analysing business KPI’s. This combined with your college study will provide a great career pathway into our business which has multiple sites across the UK, Europe, The Americas and Australia.

Duties will be developed in line with the progress of the successful applicant. The successful applicant will initially be trained to complete the following duties. Provide cover and assistance as necessary to all accounts admin positions, including:

  • Purchase ledger
  • Credit controller
  • Invoicing

Ever increasing exposure to the following:

  • Accounts compliance
  • Financial and management accountant

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Accounts / Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.

Following enrolment, learners engage in a blended programme of training and support that will include attendance at group training sessions, self-directed learning, email and face-to-face support from their trainer/assessor where you will be working towards the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting as well as a programme of training devised by the employer.

Functional Skills in mathematics and English. These provide practical skills to help gain the most out of work, education and everyday life and are assessed by the completion of written and on-line tests.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The aim on completion of the apprenticeship is to join the team in a permanent administration role undertaking the full range of administration work throughout the company.
