What will the apprentice be doing?
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administrative Tasks.
- Prepare documents from templates to assist in the new starter, leavers and changes process for Head Office, Factory, Warehouse and Retail.
- Create processes to ensure all the necessary documentation is received and stored from new retail starters.
- Manage the employee reference process.
- Assist in the onboarding process by preparing new starter packs for Barbour House employees.
- Support with employee file digitalisation project.
- Support performance management administration.
- Support probation review processes, ensuring necessary paperwork is issued.
- Assist in Employee Relations process, notetaking in investigations/disciplinaries/ grievances for low level cases.
- Deal with incoming post to the department.
- Stakeholder Management.
- To support with communications with business stakeholders.
- Support HR Specialist to answer first line HR queries from employees in the business.
- Support with Manager queries.
- Ensure all necessary data is input into the HR & Payroll system in relation to new starters, staff changes and staff leaving the Company to ensure the Payroll Department are kept fully informed.
HR Projects
- Participate in projects to ensure HR departments meets its objectives and continuously improves people support (e.g. process improvements, performance management, flexible working, onboarding).
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As a HR Support Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.
The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
