What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Assist in the configuration and deployment of mobile devices - Laptops, tablets and mobile phones
  • Assist in the installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Log and track support calls through the IT service desk system and escalate more complex calls
  • Assist in investigating issues through to resolution and be proactive when dealing with user issues
  • Assist in the maintenance and support of office peripheral equipment: printers, telephones, audio visual devices
  • Provide a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • General administrative duties

Level 3 (A level).

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Completion of the level 3 ICT apprenticeship would qualify the candidate for Service Desk Technician roles, and is a route towards Senior Technician, Service Desk Manager, Systems Administrator or IT Manager progression routes.
