What will the apprentice be doing?
- Assist in the configuration and deployment of mobile devices - Laptops, tablets and mobile phones
- Assist in the installation and configuration of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
- Log and track support calls through the IT service desk system and escalate more complex calls
- Assist in investigating issues through to resolution and be proactive when dealing with user issues
- Assist in the maintenance and support of office peripheral equipment: printers, telephones, audio visual devices
- Provide a high degree of customer service for all support queries
- General administrative duties

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Completion of the level 3 ICT apprenticeship would qualify the candidate for Service Desk Technician roles, and is a route towards Senior Technician, Service Desk Manager, Systems Administrator or IT Manager progression routes.
Field Sales Solutions has a strong professional development ethos, with former Service Desk Technicians progressing to Service Desk Team Leader and Systems Administrator roles within the business, and there is potential for progression within the business on completion of the apprenticeship.
