What will the apprentice be doing?
Although this is an office-based role the company requires a Customer Service Apprentice to adapt to a variety of tasks. On a day to day basis you will answer incoming sales calls, providing pricing/stock/invoice information, raising and despatching orders.
Other tasks could include;
- Dealing with various customer enquires (pricing/discounts) both through email and over the phone
- Contacting freight/courier companies regarding delivery times
- Maintaining adequate levels of stock
- Assisting with billing issues/customer contact
- Using in house systems to record warranty information/updates
- Supporting warehouse packing and dispatching parts (only in busy times)
- Other duties will include record keeping and general office/sales and customer support tasks as necessary
Basic IT skills, self-organisation and a confident nature are desirable. Training will be given on in-house programmes. This is a challenging but rewarding role working within a progressive company that has career prospect for future development.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
With aptitude and ability, the candidate could easily progress to cover all aspects of customer service and technical support and that could progress onto other progression options upon successful completion of the Level 2 qualification.
