What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Work in accordance with company H&S and environmental policy
  • All tasks to be carried out as per the company standard
  • Use 3rd Party Haulier’s software to book in new deliveries
  • Liaise with the 3rd Party hauliers to get ETA’s when required
  • Dealing with customer enquiries
  • Reply to any transport enquiries via the WhatsApp service
  • Contact customers to notify them of potential delays/cancelled deliveries
  • Scan all operations tickets (PODs, Pick Notes, IBT, etc)
  • Identify and implement simple CI’s
  • Continually improve processes using lean tools and methods
  • Always be available to help colleagues
  • Assist the management team to ensure department goals and KPI objectives are achieved
  • Assist the TM/TS with the data capturing process
  • Complete all tasks on company audit check sheet
  • Any other ad hoc duties
  • Complete other transport duties (van deliveries) when staff is on annual leave
