Things to consider

The majority of our work is carried out on the computer, either database or website- based. It is a variable environment: hot in summer, cold in winter. The workshop is open all year long, with the office being the hub of the business; it can see a large amount of movement. There are very busy periods, which can be stressful so a calm outlook is needed. The salary will be at least the apprenticeship minimum wage. However, for the right candidate, an enhanced salary would be considered. This can be negotiated at the time of a second interview. An interest in cars is not essential, as training will be given. The apprentice would be expected to work on non-college holiday weeks. Holiday is 20 days per year, plus bank holidays. We are not on a bus route- public transport would only be by train if travelling from Thetford. Therefore, own transport is desirable, or living within walking distance. The candidate would also need to make their own way to college every week. The business is open 8am- 5:30pm Monday- Friday, and 8am- 12noon on Saturday. However, the apprentice would be initially employed for core office hours of 9- 5pm, Monday- Friday.
