What will the apprentice be doing?

In this role you’ll contribute to the work of providing HR related business information reports, while studying to achieve the Level 3 business administration apprenticeship throughout your time with us. We’ll give you time during your working week for study and assessments- which means no evening or weekend study is required!

You will work towards being able to undertake the range of duties listed below:

  • Assisting in report development and validation
  • Ensuring master data meets statutory and business requirements
  • Providing reports using technical tools in our HR records system, SAP
  • Supporting ongoing validation of master data
  • Working on statutory returns, employment terms, and payroll requirements

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will gain hands-on experience in a large organisation, whilst studying towards your nationally recognised qualification - Business Administration L3 Standard qualification, with 20% time out of the workplace for study, training and assessments.  Your training will be via a blended learning approach, with face-to-face visits in your workplace, on-line group workshops on a monthly basis and hands on training within the workplace providing you with all you require to be successful.

Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)
  • Continued Professional Development training, organisational structure
  • Legislation and Regulations
  • Business Administration communication skills
  • Stakeholder Engagement – both internal and external
  • Stakeholder analysis, service level agreements (SLAs), stakeholder salience, stakeholder power versus interest grid
  • Record and document production – document layout, GDPR, Proof reading techniques
  • Decision Making – cost benefit analysis, break even analysis
  • 5 Why’s, Root Cause Analysis
  • Risk analysis and risk management, risk implication/ probability chart, force field analysis, use of organisational policies, procedures, and frameworks for support
  • Social Media in Business and personal
  • Project Management tools – project Life Cycle, Gantt chart, Power V’s Interest Grid, SWOT analysis, Work Breakdown Structure, and risk management techniques

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

We cannot guarantee a permanent position following completion of the apprenticeship; however this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop skills in HR and data management.
