What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Answering Telephone and dealing with enquiries
  • Greeting customers, discussing their needs and advising them on the most suitable vehicle
  • Arranging test drives
  • Negotiating sale and trade-in prices
  • Working out finance arrangements and packages, which may include organising registration plates, road tax and delivery of vehicles
  • Highlighting any additional products relevant to the customer
  • Processing orders and completing relevant paperwork, which may include carrying out stock checks using manufacturers’ databases
  • Updating customers on the progress of orders and contacting potential customers to update them about new vehicles and deals
  • Updating stock lists
  • Managing advertising and updating the website
  • Keeping the forecourt and cars clean and tidy
  • Providing potential customers with relevant literature and information
  • Inspecting vehicles pre- and post- sale

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Customer Service level 2 Apprenticeship Standard
  • You will have all training in the workplace delivered by qualified coaches who will visit with you every 4-6 weeks 
  • 20% off the job training will be given from the employer within the working week and a record of this must be made 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • Opportunity to move into a Full time position within the company if buisness needs allow

Things to consider

This is a level 3 Apprenticeship that will require you to have or achieve a level 2 qualification in maths and english during this Apprenticeship.
