What will the apprentice be doing?
Your role will be to support the Service Engineering team from our offices at St Neots. The role will initially consist of support tasks within our repair workshop which will range from board repair, maintenance of spares and small test bed automation systems.
The successful candidate will have already be pursuing further education in Electrical, power or telecoms engineering.
Opportunities to work within our control, systems, networks, telecoms and power engineering teams IT solutions.
The work of an ICT apprentice involves undertaking a vast array of specialist roles supporting business critical requirements and focus on customer solutions. Networking, Server, IT Essentials, Secure Communications, programming, and databases are just an example of typical tasks and projects undertaken within the likely areas of employment.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
By the end of the apprenticeship, the student will have achieved the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the level 3 Information Communication Technician standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We would expect the right candidate to progress into a Service Engineer role.
