What will the apprentice be doing?

  • To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met
  • To have a knowledge of the Montessori Method of teaching.
  • To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys.
  • Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
  • To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children
  • how to safeguard children and staff and procedures for dealing with concerns or allegations


What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • An apprenticeship is a job with training which enables you
    to earn while you learn.
    The apprentice standard consists of core knowledge, skills
    and behaviours relevant to the job role.
  • Functional Skills, maths and English, are an integral to
    completion of the apprenticeship. These will be undertaken unless gained prior to apprenticeship
  • Along with the apprenticeship standard, the apprentice will
    also achieve a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner diploma.
