What will the apprentice be doing?

GEMÜ Great Britain is looking for an Internal Sales Engineer to join our Internal Customer support team, we are building a team for the future to be able to adapt to market trends, services and new technology. Gemü Group is family-owned, and we feel strongly about building a brighter and sustainable future for all generations. Our main market sectors include Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Water Treatment, Food & Beverage, Process Manufacturing and renewable energies, we also supply to organisations such as OEM's and resellers. This role will be primarily office-based, although we may ask you to work from home on certain occasions as we return to the office post Covid. You may be required to make occasional visits to customers, Gemü manufacturing sites and even to attend exhibitions, subsequent travel expenses will be covered by the company. The role will require identifying and assisting with customer requirements, liaising with them to ensure they make the right selection of products for their application and following the enquiries through the sales cycle from initial enquiry, to order process and finally to the delivery of the products to site. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a market leader in their industry, with excellent job opportunities and benefits. Key areas of responsibility:

  • Answering and transferring incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Communicating with customers online
  • Handle order expediting, invoicing and documentation requests
  • Handle customer enquiries through to quote and order stage
  • Handle verbal and written communications with customers, staff and management in a professional manner
  • Record all activities / tasks as instructed into the company CRM system (Customer Relationship Management) and provide updates and maintenance of data where necessary
  • Attend weekly and monthly Sales Meetings as required to monitor company performance

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The programme will include the Level 3 Diploma for Customer Service Specialists, the End Point Assessment will conclude the programme. Functional Skills or equivalent at Level 2 Duration: 15 months (estimated) + 3 months End Point Assessment (EPA).
