What will the apprentice be doing?
- To help ensure stay housing accommodation is maintained and repaired in accordance with published policies and required standards
- To assist the voids and maintenance team leader with setting the rota for the night concierge team
- To assist in arranging holiday cover for the night concierge team.
- To assist with conducting routine property checks as per stay policies to ensure stay’s responsibilities are maintained in respect of health and safety and other quality standards as relevant
- To assist with ensuring empty flats/rooms are brought to a lettable standard within stays lettings policy timescale
- To assist with ensuring that empty flats/rooms meet the required letting standard including the landlords legal obligations in respect of gas and electricity safety
- To assist in arranging annual gas safety checks, PAT testing, fire alarm and fire-fighting equipment maintenance
- To liaise with the voids and maintenance officer and team leader on agreeing works to be undertaken by repair and maintenance contractors and ensure these works are carried out within agreed timescales and costs
- To assist with ordering and arranging delivery of furniture and other household items as required for new clients
- To liaise with the voids and maintenance officer and team leader in overseeing garden maintenance with contractors to ensure external areas are maintained to a high standard
- To assist the team leader with annually preparing a list of planned maintenance works for consideration within the budgeting process
- To work with colleagues to bring new property into management including potentially all of the above tasks
- To carry out minor maintenance and repair work as required
