What will the apprentice be doing?

Key responsibilities for the successful Print Operative Apprentice:

Order fulfilment:

  • Assist in the production of all printed products
  • Pack customer and social media influencer orders
  • Prioritise orders for same-day delivery
  • Assist the operation of printers

Stock management:

  • Assist with stock counts, raise stock requests
  • Monitor office consumables


Customer service:

  • Contact customers to assist with orders
  • Assist with website updates

To be eligible, you need:

  • A passion to learn
  • Great communication skills
  • Good IT Skills
  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs or equivalents at grades A*-C/9-4

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification achieved will be a Level 2 Print Operative Standard. 

Alongside the apprenticeship, you will be given full support and structured training with the aim to eventually become a fully integrated and independent member of the team.

Throughout your journey you will be supported by both Mobile Fun UK and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available.

Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your own development and the business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.

Apprentices without Level 1 (or equivalent) in English and maths must achieve Level 1 Functional Skills prior to taking the end-point assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.   

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the aim is to become a fully integrated and independent member of the team.
