What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties include:

  • Manage money and tills, organise and administer the reception area
  • Supervision of students on placement in reception
  • Provide promotional displays and activities in the reception to reflect high industry standards
  • Maintain client records and retail stock control
  • Positively contribute to the College’s marketing, learner recruitment, admissions and enrolment processes

Supporting the Curriculum:

  • Participate in student induction processes as appropriate
  • Participate in public relations and promotional activities including open days, parents evenings and other initiatives
  • Support the marketing of the hair & beauty section including the use of social media
  • Undertake laundry and dispensary duties to maintain resources
  • To ensure sufficient client resourcing is available for curriculum assessments

Health and Safety responsibilities:

  • To observe and keep aware of Health and Safety documentation and procedures in line with College policy

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in line with College Policy
  • To ensure that course team members comply with the Risk assessment procedures for trips, visits and work experience
  • Attend regular team meetings to ensure key messages are communicated

Level 3 Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship:

  • Completion of this apprenticeship will lead to eligibility to join the Institute of Customer Service as an Individual member at professional level
  • Should you choose to progress on a customer service career path, you may be eligible for further professional membership including management

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

  • At the end of the appreticeship this could lead onto a permanent role with Bath College
