What will the apprentice be doing?


1.      To check inspection record to ensure all previous operations have been signed off.

2.      To input job card number and quantity to SBS MIS system.

3.      To obtain delivery note and detail number of boxes used.

4.      To check label against job card for correct details.

5.      To check quantity packed against delivery note recording delivery method on delivery note.

6.      Identify & select the relevant carrier via Metapack and produce carrier labels

7.      Retain samples where indicated

8.      Despatch samples daily to relevant customers & consolidate where we can

9.      To work as a team to ensure jobs packed and despatched to a high-quality standard.

10.   Housekeeping – to ensure that own area of work is kept clean.

11.   To load and unload vehicles using forklift trucks (training is provided where necessary).

12.   To deliver goods to designated address as and when required.

13.   Returned parcels should be held in despatch and CS advised accordingly, awaiting corrective action.

14.   To check goods that are booked in arrive in accordance with PARAGON procedures.

15.   To check and quantify goods received against delivery documentation.

16.   To book goods received against a PO in SBS linked to relevant job number.

17.   To advise Stock Control that raw materials have arrived.

18.   To carry out any other duties as directed by the Manager.

19.   To interact with internal departments /suppliers/ customers in pursuance of the stated duties.

Candidate needs to be able to comply to the following.

1.    To complete duties in accordance with the Paragon Quality Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Environment Policy and Staff Handbook and ensure that all employees within the jobholder’s sphere of responsibility do likewise.

2.    To maintain professional conduct and represent Paragon positively to customers, suppliers and the public.
3.         To strive to achieve the sentiments of Paragon’s Mission Statement, values and behaviours ensuring a proactive approach
