What will the apprentice be doing?

No two days are exactly the same at The Bead Shop and you will have varied duties throughout each day. They will include;
* Serving Customers
* Answering customer enquiries via email and phone
* Updating our social media sites
* Creating window displays
* Ensuring the shop is clean and tidy for customers
* Checking stock levels
* Taking phone orders
* Packaging and posting stock
* Developing your product knowledge
* Jewellery making
* Assembling craft kits
We also have a small cafe area within the shop so you will also receive Barista training

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills if required.

This is a work based programme which means that all of your learning will take place on the site of your employment and within your contracted working hours.

We host supporting workshops regularly throughout the apprenticeship which you can attend in person at our Derby Road campus or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.

You will experience a blended learning model.

You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.

At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of your level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship, there will be the opportunity to progress onto level 3 and beyond.

About the employer

The Bead Shop is the UK's friendliest bead shop. They have been selling beads and craft materials from their shop in the Nottingham City Centre since 2000 and online since 2002. The team have a passion for all things beads, jewellery and crafts and love to share their knowledge. They run a regular programme of workshops that include sliversmithing to bead weaving and glass fusing to tiara making.
