What will the apprentice be doing?

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service and Administration Apprentice to undertake all duties supporting the team at Alexis Filters.

This will be a varied role allowing you to learn all aspects of the business. Duties to be undertaken include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Customer service and accounts team on a day to day basis
  • Answering calls and emails
  • Ordering supplies (stationary, packaging, office ancillaries etc)
  • Checking and Reporting on supply status of parts
  • Filing electronic / paper
  • Bookkeeping tasks (invoice entry)
  • Use of company systems and accounts software (Sage and CRM)
  • Data input into the CRM system
  • Quotations on the CRM system
  • Screening telephone calls
  • Customer service with new clients, i.e. feedback and testimonial requests
  • Updating social media sites and responding to queries
  • Reviewing company emails and responding
  • Any other related duties

Full training will be given in order to complete the above duties to the best of your ability.

Alexis Filters will provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the apprenticeship.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 Business Administrator Standard, which includes:

  • Modules covering Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours in Business
  • You'll have a personal tutor to guide you through your training
  • You will attend online 1:1 sessions with your tutor every 2/3 weeks
  • End Point Assessment (online)
  • Occasional online classes with other learners
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if required
  • Business Administrator Certificate from IfATE and City and Guilds

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

If the apprentice proves to be successful during the apprenticeship, then their role will be extended beyond the apprenticeship contract.
