We are looking for two CNC Apprentices at our Sandiacre facility who are interested to learn all areas of CNC and manual machinery. Apprentices will learn and develop practical and technical skills, attend college and other nominated training courses. Operating the CNC Milling machine producing machined components to the production plan.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Apprentice Machinist. Our main work is on milling machines hence we need Machine apprentices.
  • Production Team
  • Successful candidates will learn and develop practical and technical skills, attend college and other nominated training courses. Complete all relevant tests, exams, and assignments to enable them to operate the CNC Milling machine and produce machined components to the production plan, in a safe and efficient manner, within the planned production time and to the required quality.
  • Production Manager/ Production Supervisor

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprenticeship Engineering Operative (Standard) Level 2

Level 2 Diploma in engineering operations (skills) and a Level 2 Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge)

- College will be attended on Day release to the Derby College Roundhouse.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

In the long term they could get into programming, supervisory roles or roles in other parts of the business if they have the aptitude and willingness to learn.
