As our Apprentice HR Administrator, you will be working within the HR Shared Services department. You'll provide a professional service and support to the wider business & its employees, and work closely with our team, who will support you as you learn about HR practices. You will be encouraged and supported to develop your skills and knowledge.

The minimum wage will be £6.83 for 16 - 20 year olds, then it will increase dependent upon age in line with the national minimum wage.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).Minimum Wage Rates

What will the apprentice be doing?
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
As our Apprentice HRSS Administrator you will be working within the HR Shared Services department. You will be providing a professional service and support to the wider business and its employees. You will be working closely with our team, who will support you as you learn about HR practices. You will report directly into our Senior HR Advisor, who will be helping and encouraging you to develop your skills and knowledge.
This is an important position in our business, and we’ll need to you demonstrate a professional and confidential approach, as the work you will be doing will often involve handling sensitive personal data.
You will be given a key support network in the form of a line manager, a buddy and a designated Early Careers contact, who will all have regularly catch ups with you to support you throughout your apprenticeship. We will also give you the time you need to work through your Apprenticeship and if we can help in any way, we will.
This role will involve handling sensitive personal data on a daily basis so the ideal candidate must have a professional and confidential approach.
Job role and responsibilities:
- Process, record and monitor Right to Work and DBS checks for all employees.
- Manage the shared mailbox answering queries or forward onto the relevant department.
- Production of daily and weekly reports.
- Process, record and monitor all reference request for new employees within the business
- Provide support to the wider HR Shared Services Team
- Control vacancy requests in-line with budget headcount and that correct authorisation has been received to recruit new starters
- Set up new starters ensuring they’ve completed all Onboarding
- Scanning, filing, replying to correspondence and other general office administration duties
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You'll work towards a business administration level 3 qualification.
All training will be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams, by a dedicated development coach.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Possible position as a HR Administration, or similar role within other business areas.
