    Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week. Double day shift so head printer can mentor - 6am - 2pm, one week, 2pm - 10pm next week with an early finish on Fridays.

What will the apprentice be doing?

As an apprentice, you will assist with designing bespoke artwork for printing, prepare printing screens and produce screen and digital printing on various substrates for advertising display purposes. 

Main duties will include:

  • To train on all digital machinery, being trained to run the machines alongside your apprenticeship training
  • To provide assistance in ensuring machines run efficiently, to follow preventative and operational maintenance schedules
  • To learn to be aware of customer expectations, resolving problems and ensuring quality including colour matching
  • To assist in other departments, as and when required
  • To complete documentation in accordance with company procedures

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a L3 Print Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship during their working hours.

Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Pure Innovation and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of site-based and remote delivery.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The apprentice will be a Digital Printer once qualified and there are opportunities for advancement, such as supervisory or management positions within the company.

Things to consider

At certain points of the day, the post holder will be expected to undertake bending, lifting and stretching. Manual handling training will be given.
