What will the apprentice be doing?
The duties that will be carried out include:
- Answering the phone
- Data input on a waste bespoke software
- Talking to suppliers to confirm completion of waste jobs
- Resolving customer queries
- Liaising with the team to provide account management support
- Booking in waste collections
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Business Administrator Level 3, including Functional Skills if required.
You will work with expert assessors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession. You will experience a blended learning model, with workplace delivery and some classroom sessions. You will gather learning evidence, journals and off-the-job records using your e-portfolio.
At the end of the planned learning period, it will be agreed that you are ready to enter 'Gateway' and for your End Point Assessment to be arranged.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of the apprenticeship, I would expect the candidates to progress to Account Management Support with further progression to Account Management or other areas of the business once waste management experience has been established. The company has a 5-year growth strategy so there will be plenty of other areas of growth within the industry.
