What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will be working towards a set of core competencies so that they have the right basic skills, attitudes, and behaviours for an administrative, customer facing role in the business environment.
This will include supporting the team with all aspects of day-to-day administration and general office duties, and helping to provide outstanding customer service to allocated accounts:
Typical duties will involve:
- Answering the phones and taking messages
- Learning our operating system
- Sending samples for the external sales team
- Use of PC to email etc.
- Learning the filing process and procedures
- Learning finance and credit checking
- Working with the Customer Service Manager
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the qualification obtained will be a Level 3 Customer Service Specialist apprenticeship standard.
The apprentice will be given sufficient time to undertake their "off-the-job" requirement of the apprenticeship.
Throughout your time as an apprentice, you will be supported by both Harkwell Labels and the BPIF. You will be assigned a training coordinator to ensure that you have the best training available. Training requirements will be discussed at the point of employment to suit your individual needs and business needs. Most training and studying will be a combination of remote and site-based.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the learner could be offered a role to reflect their qualification and experience within the customer service department or other areas within the business, should there be a position available.
