What will the apprentice be doing?

This vacancy is for a full time, office administration apprentice.
This will be an interesting, varied post in a busy office environment.
We are looking for a good timekeeper, who is well organised, shows initiative and has a logical mind.
You should ideally be computer literate and comfortable working with Outlook, Excel and Word, with good typing skills and speed to accurately produce invoices, well written letters and respond to emails. We currently use QuickBooks for accounts.

Basic duties will include

  • A great deal of data input on to spreadsheets
  • Booking appointments and organising diaries 
  • Answering the telephone 
  • Taking & typing notes
  • Typing letters 
  • Responding to enquiries through email
  • Cutting paper
  • Sharpening pencils
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • And more 

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship with the aim to progress on to the Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will be required to attend college every 6 weeks at the Buxton Campus (transport available), you will also have regular assessor mentor visits in the workplace. 

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression to Business Administration level 3 apprenticeship and permanent employment.
