What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be responsible for the source and supply of candidates within the public sector such as working with clients in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment requirements. You will be identifying and developing opportunities in a proactive sales environment. Showing strong negotiation skills to meet clients and candidates needs effectively through:

Candidate attraction and registration

Business Development

Client management and growth

Relationship management

Developing and managing your sector

Ensuring Targets and KPI’s are met at all times

Using sales, business development, marketing techniques and networking in order to attract business from client companies

Visiting clients to build and develop relationships

Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment

Advertising vacancies by drafting and placing adverts in a wide range of media, for example newspapers, websites, magazines

Using candidate databases to match the right person to the client's vacancy

Receiving and reviewing applications, managing interviews and tests and creating a shortlist of candidates for the client

Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the client

Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question

Preparing CVs and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants

Organising interviews for candidates as requested by the client

Informing candidates about the results of their interviews

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

A Recruitment Resourcer may be employed in any organisation that requires a recruitment function. Their role is to identify, attract and shortlist candidates for the recruitment process to fulfil the requirements of the business brief and provide resourcing support to the recruitment function. They may also be required to identify new business opportunities. The Recruitment Resourcer is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.

As part of the apprenticeship you will study a broad range of recruitment theory and techniques which you will apply to your role to help enhance your performance. Topics which will be covered as part of the program include business development.

The course is due to begin week commencing 10th October 2022 however the employer may start employment sooner.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have passed your apprentice there will be a permanent position within one of our dedicated specialist teams as a full 360 recruitment consultant. You will have the opportunity to establish yourself as a market specialist and have a long term career within MMP.
