In this Apprenticeship your remit will be to support a highly professional and effective Facilities, Records Management and Post Services Team. You'll be using the company's IT systems daily. You will be trained in the use of RiskWise, Royal Mail OBA, BigHand, and the internal desk booking system.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily duties:

  • Assist with the day-to-day facilities management of site.
  • Daily processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with the recording and transport of archiving.
  • Assist with business as usual (BAU) tasks across the business.
  • Assist with internal and external office moves or relocations.
  • Ensure work is of a high standard and produced in a timely manner.
  • Ensure continuous improvement to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Undertake and/or to be familiar with all aspects of the team’s operational duties and responsibilities.
  • Support positive internal and external client relationships.
  • Support and work with other teams across the business.
  • Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of processes.
  • Keeping your manager informed of any supplier or internal client issues.
  • Liaising with internal clients to create a positive, productive and efficient working environment.
  • Actively manage own personal training and development, identifying any suitable development opportunities.
  • Any other duties that may be required to ensure the efficient operation of the service.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • You will be working towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship.
  • Attendance of 1 workshop per month over the course of the year.
  • Regular assessor contact and support.
  • If you have not already achieved a C/4 + in both maths and English (or equivalent) and cannot provide evidence in the form of a certificate, you will also need to achieve Functional skills at Level 2, in both Numeracy and Literacy. This will include sitting an exam.
  • You will be given some of your working week dedicated to your apprenticeship study, or Off the Job Training, to carry out self-supported study, compiling your portfolio or completing work set by your assessor.
  • End point assessment to achieve your final apprenticeship grade.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential for a full time role, however this is not guaranteed.
