What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for an apprentice to join our Industrial Electronics Department.

The department specialises in sophisticated component level repairs on parts from some of the world’s leading manufacturers automation parts. These parts are typically fresh off production robots, CNC machines and other pieces of industrial automation machinery.

You will have a keen interest in electronics.

The ideal candidate will be a Hobbiest who tinkers with different electronic parts in their spare time and /or will have taken an interest during their school education.

You will develop a range of skills including:

Fault finding across a range of machinery

Servicing equipment and machinery

Repairing and refurbishment of parts and machinery

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will study for you Engineering Operative Level 2 one day per week at Sandwell College

You will achieve the Diploma in engineering operations (skills) Level 2 and  Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge) Level 2

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have succesfully completed your level 2, you will have the opportunity to progress to your level 3 apprenticeship
