What will the apprentice be doing?


  • ProcedureInitial client discussion / fact finding
  • Pricing requests to suppliers
  • Quote generation and, after approval of more experienced colleague, send using in house CMS

Quote Chase Ups:

  • Daily follow up of quotations
  • Identification of “hot leads”
  • Continued schedule within chase up procedure

Other Activities:

  • Identification and development of relationships with new suppliers
  • Assistance in the development of new prospects
  • Update and maintenance of supplier database

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Customer Service Specialist Level 3.

This apprenticeship programme is delivered with a blended learning approach and includes a mixture of onsite tutor visits and online tutor led sessions. All delivery is completed in the workplace and you will not need to attend any off-site training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Full training will be given in this challenging and varied role to ensure that the apprentice has the skills and expertise to become a permanent member of the team upon completion of the apprenticeship programme..

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will form part of the Commercial team. The commercial team provides the first impression of the business with the internal commercial desk sourcing suppliers, providing client quotations, as well as chasing and converting quotations prior to passing the confirmed orders to the operations department.
