What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties, activities and responsibilities

Answering and dealing with telephone calls and emails

Understanding and resolving client enquiries

Creating and following up sales opportunities, dealing with inbound leads

Qualifying leads

Recording activity

Telesales and prospecting activity – appointment booking

Account management

Supporting the sales manager and team with developing campaigns and projects, and following these up

Quotations, product sourcing, following up quotations, gathering client feedback – updating CRM

General administration, CMS, procure enquiries

Supporting clients order qualms and deliveries and resolving to their satisfaction

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will be supported with a Sales Executive (Level 4) apprenticeship standard, delivered by Mercuri International, recognised global leaders in sales training and coaching.

The programme will be 18 months long and delivered one to one, with the apprentice being assigned their own dedicated Mercuri coach. The apprentice will also become an associate member of the Association of Professional Sales, providing access to a further suite of training materials, advice and support for career progression.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Following successful completion of the Sales apprenticeship, there is the possibility of a permanent full time position if a suitable role is available within the sales team.
