As a Personal Assistant you will provide direct and often bespoke Business Support to our Officer Specialist PA’s and Senior PA’s, supporting the management of often-complex diaries, setting up meetings, and support of their work. The role of PA, although is part of a virtual team of other PAs forms a part of the wider Business Support service.

What will the apprentice be doing?
With supervision and direction, you will be expected to undertake a range of activities including the following (although please note it is not an exhaustive list):
- Provide comprehensive and confidential personal support to our Officer Specialist PA’s and Senior PA’s.
- Point of contact for anyone wishing to see or speak to Senior Leader (s).
- Support the management of Senior Leaders (s) calendars and meetings including organising, attending, and minuting meetings.
- When necessary, provide support to other PA’s directly managed by the Senior Leader(s).
- Be responsible for the upkeep of equipment and devices used by the Senior Leadership Team.
- To work positively and inclusively with colleagues and customers so that the Council provides a workplace to deliver a service that does not discriminate against people on the grounds of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage, civil partnership, pregnancy, maternity, race, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.
- To fulfil personal requirements, where appropriate, with regards to Council policies and procedures, standards of attendance, health, safety and welfare, customer care, emergency, evacuation, security, and promotion of the Council’s priorities.

On the job training with 6 hours per week allocated for apprenticeship tasks.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of the apprenticeship the apprentice will be involved in a discussion with the company around future progression based on their own personal career choices. The company will work to support this.
