What will the apprentice be doing?
- Data entry in accounting software
- Bookkeeping
- Preparing Financial statements
- Communication with clients, written and verbal
- Processing of accounts
- VAT Returns
- Client assistance (including on-site support if required)
- Sole Trader/Basic partnership Accounts
- Preparing accounts to trial balance
- Reconciliation of bank account
- Input into accounts production and completion of lead schedules
- Completion of basic Personal Tax returns including Capital Allowances
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
This is an Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting and will include a combination of on and off the job training in the workplace. You will have monthly mentoring and guidance at work from a Craven College Learning & Development Advisor alongside college attendance one day a week during term time at the College in Skipton. At the end of the apprenticeship you will be entered to undertake an End Point Assessment, conducted by an external assessor, to complete your Apprenticeship.
There is an option to sit Level 3 AAT exams as part of the Apprenticeship
