What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Customer Service Apprentice, you will gain first-rate training and mentoring along with workplace customer service experience and the formal qualifications to back it up! Throughout the training period you will gain your Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship through one of our carefully selected partner training providers. What’s more, all of our apprentices are recruited on to a permanent contract from day one, so once you’re finished training you’ll transition to a role within our Safer Highways Team.

Within your role, you’ll support and deliver Bikeability training to national standards whilst coordinating with a co-trainer on site. You will also support the development of new education and training resources delivered to our customers to promote the reduction of road casualties. You’ll also input and manage data to record Health & Safety information and staff performance levels to effectively manage frontline staff, ensuring accuracy of records and information.

In addition, you will communicate with customers/schools to keep them informed and enable service delivery. Throughout your time as an apprentice you will also learn all about health and safety and you’ll learn how to undertake Health and Safety visits to Bikeability courses to ensure that standards are met to maintain a consistent, high-quality service.

You will offboard this apprenticeship as an Road Safety Assistant in the Road Safety Team in our Network Management Divison
