What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for an ambitious Admin Apprentice who will help the company operate day to day in a fast-paced environment. In this unique role, you will also get the opportunity to work closely with the MD and department team leads to develop impactful L&D material and grow in supporting the business.

• Welcoming clients to the office in a professional and friendly manner
• Screening phone calls and routing callers to the relevant team member
• Assisting the Director and Managing Director with various administrative tasks
• Ensuring that the office is always stocked with the necessary supplies and tech equipment
• Liaise with our service providers to support office and team needs (such as IT)
• Daily upkeep of the office ensuring that it is neat and tidy – supervising cleaning staff
• Upload and maintain relevant employee information on our HR software
• Updating department team leads on employee probationary periods and proactively setting up meetings
• Set reminders for Birthdays/ work anniversaries and special days and arrange for gifts
• Organising team activities and office parties
• Managing petty cash
• Managing the administration of the office Health and Safety    requirements
• Working closely with the MD to build L&D material for all departments
• Shadowing department team leaders and proactively documenting important processes – translating this information using your creativity and attention to detail into user-friendly documents/guides
• Introducing new starters to L&D material that you have created
• Opportunity to develop basic accounting skills and assist departments with ad-hoc tasks

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

In this role, the Admin Apprentice will receive on-the-job training as well as get the opportunity to study towards a Business Administration (Level 3) qualification with the help of external trainers.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

This role gives the Admin Apprentice the opportunity to get a bird's-eye view of all departments and their functions within the company. This role presents the perfect space to engage with all team members in every department and also gives you the chance to ask questions, shadow tasks being done, and request adhoc work from departments you are interested in working in.

You will be pivotal to the growth of the company and we are absolutely open to giving driven individuals the chance to shine within the department/s they are interested in.
