What will the apprentice be doing?

It is a key role and involves assisting the management accountant with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations. You will also take an active role in;

  • Cash flow management
  • Credit control
  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting processes for the business.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Level 3 - Assistant Accountant 

This includes:

·         Main learning objectives: Analysis, produces quality and accurate information, problem solving, business awareness, IT systems and processes, financial accounting & processes.

·         AAT Qualification

·         EPA (End Point Assessment) – Towards the final few months of the apprenticeship you will complete your End Point Assessment. This includes a synoptic end test, a portfolio and a professional discussion. All assessment methods will be conducted and graded by an independent EPAO.

This Apprenticeship requires you to attend college 1-day week. You will be assessed through written work, verbal discussion, synoptic exams and observation throughout your training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Progression onto level 4 and on completion of AAT there will the option to progress to ACCA or CIMA.
