What will the apprentice be doing?

Provide HR and general administration support to the business owner and founder as well as some clients.  The role will continuously evolve as the successful candidate develops their skills, knowledge and confidence.  Long term it is expected that the person will grow with the business and take overall responsibility for client HR Administration and develop into an HR Advisor.

 

Letters - Sourcing the correct and appropriate template from HR-Inform and customising it to create letter on a range of HR issues for clients.

Policies - from templates, creating standard policies and procedures for clients ensuring the details, language and tone are correct and appropriate for their business.

Contracts of employment - gathering all the required information from clients to complete draft contracts of employment.

Recruitment administration - logging and coordination of candidates, replying to applicants and arranging interviews and feedback for those successful.  Conducting telephone screening interviews may also be required for some clients.

Diary management - taking calls from clients and managing diaries to ensure all appointments are prioritised and deliverable. 

Team coordination - Requirement to organise freelancers as well as the Founder.

Investigations and hearing support - assisting with collating and presenting information for investigations and taking notes at hearings if required.

IT - managing the businesses IT systems in particular using Office 365 and longer term investigating and implementing a CRM system

Customer Service - working with different clients in different ways according to their needs and business.

Relationship Building - building relationships with clients and potential clients to fully understand their businesses and their people.

 

This list is not exhaustive, as in any micro business there is often a requirement to carry out reasonable tasks not normally associated with your role.  As a consultancy we work with our clients in a variety of ways so a flexible approach is required, however we will always work to ensure that duties align with individual development requirements.  

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Training to be provided

The apprentice will work towards the HR Support Apprenticeship Standard at level 3, and may also be required to sit functional skills at level 2 in maths and English prior to completion (functional skills will not be required if exemptions are held)
Training delivered by Access Training through a mixture of projects, training workshops and one to one support
Candidate attendance will be to attend our Access Training, Team Valley centre 1 day per month for day release

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to develop through the various levels of CIPD with support of the business.

With support from your Reynolds HR & OD and Access Training, you will work towards completing the HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship with the opportunity to progress onto the HR Consultant Partner – Level 5 Apprenticeship.

• Wage increase to £9.50 per hour after 3 month probation (Also annual wage review every April) • Company mobile phone and laptop will be provided The role is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will split their time between working from home and the office. The induction period will be spent fully office based until the apprentice feels comfortable working from home.
