What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will be to initially carry out basic office duties with a view of gaining more responsibilities as your confidence grows within the role.

The duties include:

  • Answering incoming calls - taking messages - transferring calls - dealing with customer enquiries
  • Greeting customers into the office
  • Inputting data into our software - basic bookkeeping
  • Filing
  • Managing vehicle maintenance forms - Booking vans into the garage.
  • Basic secretarial duties - typing - replying to enquiries
  • Checking stock deliveries
  • Providing admin support to the directors and management.

This is a growing role so the job isn't limited to these duties.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

All training for the Customer Services Practitioner Apprenticeship is done onsite and, if necessary, at Yeovil College.

Your training will be on a continuous basis as you learn new areas throughout the 12 months.

Your apprenticeship will last 12 months after which you will acquire Customer Services Practitioner Level 2.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, there may be the opportunity for the right individual to continue within the business with added responisibilites. There may also be the opportunity to progress onto a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
