What will the apprentice be doing?
- Payroll: Processing of weekly/monthly payroll, HMRC submissions and auto-enrolment pension assessments & filing. Completion of P60s, P11Ds and P45s and administration of starters & leavers.
- Bookkeeping: Processing in HubDoc and Xero to include purchase invoices, expenses, sales invoices and bank statements. Bank reconciliation, fixed assets and depreciation, completion of first draft VAT returns, petty cash, control account processing, supplier payments drafting and credit control.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 2 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting at Bournemouth and Poole College.
- Training will be one day per week.
- Full on the job training by experienced senior bookkeepers and accountants.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- We anticipate upon successful completion that there will be further opportunities to study Level 3 & 4 AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting.
