What will the apprentice be doing?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Financial Services industry and join a growing team at Active Financial. Initially joining as a Customer Adviser, the initial role will focus on dealing with both outbound and inbound calls. It is important to note that you will not be completing cold calls or any type of hard sales activity in this role but purely following set processes to introduce Active Mortgage to interested clients and booking these in with qualified adviser to take this forward.
Active Mortgages have a rich history of developing staff and progressing apprentices. This role will act as the start of your journey in the world of mortgages, you will develop key knowledge on mortgages and protection with transition and progression available into becoming a qualified Mortgage Adviser in the future.
As part of this role, you will complete the following duties
- Outbound calling to interested prospective clients, running through a set process with the support of CRM system to introduce the business and arrange appointment with advisers.
- Receiving inbound calls, passing on enquiries or directly dealing with interested clients again using set process to introduce the business and services.
- Manage appointments and liaising with mortgage brokers regarding enquiries
- Acknowledging and answering queries from clients and resolve any problems as they arise.
- Managing the active database and updating client notes on CRM system.
- Completing client follow ups.
- Data entry.
- Send and receive emails.
- Develop knowledge on Mortgage products and services.
- General administrative tasks, no cold calling involved.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As part of this role you will complete the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard.
The Customer Service apprenticeship programme develops the skills required to succeed within a customer facing role. It will provide opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours that are essential when dealing with customers, both inside and outside of an organisation. The apprenticeship will help to develop skills that can be used to build a career across a range of sectors.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Progression to a mortgage/protection adviser, mortgage admin or to a more senior, management position.
