What will the apprentice be doing?
- Implement QA processes, professional standards and set the highest standards in testing to support the requirements of the project.
- Ensure that all issues and bugs are reported in an efficient and informative manner, keeping with the extremely high standard expected by REALTIME.
- Become the QA Expert for your project.
- Own, manage, create & regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes document testing practises, QA process & reporting methods.
- Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure QA effectively tests & supports all features of the project.
- To communicate to all levels of staff within the REALTIME team both verbal & written.
- Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and all instructions are followed accurately.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.
Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Software Tester, with training in how to:
- Ensure that the software used within your business operates as intended.
- Design and prepare test plans and conduct software testing as appropriate to ensure your software is fit for purpose.
- Collect and interpret the results of testing and make appropriate recommendations.
- Understand the software lifecycle and apply software development practices.
- Document and report test results.
- Store, manage and share test data in a secure manner.
