What will the apprentice be doing?

Please see below duties for each role:

ACCOUNTS

  • Log & process daily correspondence & pass on to relevant departments
  • Monitor & co-manage the Accounts inbox, printing all relevant invoices/statements
  • Logging customer queries/invoice issues and working closely with the accounts team to assist in resolution
  • Entering Supplier invoices into the Sage financial system, ensuring correct coding is used
  • Reconciling Supplier statements against the Sage system & following up/resolving any anomalies

TRANSPORT

  • Inputting daily / weekly POD Paperwork
  • Operating a variety of IT-Systems as required
  • General administration – updating reports, scanning / filing paperwork
  • Liaising with Fleet maintenance company to book in vehicle inspections in a timely manner
  • Support with departmental communication with non-office based team members
  • Support with introduction of new software and support roll-out on an ad-hoc basis

WAREHOUSE

  • Manage inbound/outbound paperwork. Scan, record and distribute to the relevant departments
  • Work with the Office Administrator to ensure correct spreadsheets and WMS are kept with key information captured
  • Filing and document management including Data protection and GDPR
  • Transferring goods onto warehouse management systems
  • Checking Goods Inward paperwork and Picks for Goods Outwards
  • Printing Labels for FLT Drivers
  • Building loads and allocations of stock
  • Monitor email inbox and action where necessary
  • Stock Control and maintaining office supplies
  • Review the Legal compliance with BRCGS requirements and ensure all documents are corrected documented and filed
  • Supporting with customer visits and stock checks ensuring quality of service they receive is up to standard
  • Any other duties required to assist the Senior Warehouse Administrator

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Qualification

End-Point Assessment (EPA):

  • Knowledge test
  • Portfolio based interview
  • Project presentation

Delivery Method

  • 14 sessions delivered at Loughborough (Thurs AM)
  • Online portfolio to update with learning and development completed onsite
  • Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis as a Business Administrator.
