What will the apprentice be doing?

You will be reporting to the general manager on a daily basis as you learn the various parts of your role, whilst learning how to work with other members of staff and customers too.

Your duties will involve

  • Stock control (goods in and out)
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers both face to face and via telephone and email
  • Working on the trade counter, handling customer queries
  • Using bespoke IT systems
  • Helping to make sure that colleagues are kept up to date.

BTP will provide inhouse training for our stock control system and the wide range of products we sell.

There are and will be chances to visit other branches to see how they operate and learn about their customers individual needs There may be a case later on in their employment to work Saturday mornings 8am – 12 noon, in rotation with other members of staff. Employees that work Saturdays are given time off in lieu of this Annual leave of 20 days plus bank holidays
