What will the apprentice be doing?
DFDS are looking for a self-motivated, well-presented individual with excellent communication skills to work as a member of the Claims Department. The role will see the right candidate be fully supported in their development and training, understanding each part of the business and the role it plays in providing excellent service to their customers. You will initially work closely with the Claims team to understand the claims process, ensuring you have the underpinning product knowledge to provide the high levels of customer service the business delivers to its customers. You will take a proactive role to ensure we meet our customer's expectations.
When initial familiarisation has been undertaken, the successful post holder will be responsible for the following:
- Deal with incoming claims from customers and third parties
- Investigate and establish outcome of claims
- Department administration
- Dealing with customers and various DFDS offices throughout UK and EU
- Escalating issues to department manager
- Dealing with insurance companies
- Working with multiple bespoke systems
