This vacancy is for an Apprentice Business Administrator to work for an established legal practice based in Manchester specialising in Criminal and Mental Health law. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undertake valuable work experience whilst gaining on the job qualifications.

Responsibilities will include:

  • General administration duties including answering of phone calls and emails, filing, photocopying and shredding, data input and any other general admin/ ad-hoc duties as defined by management.
  • File preparation.
  • Document validation.
  • Dealing with the walk-in clients in a professional manner.
  • Display excellent telephone manner.
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication with a self-assured personality.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office.
  • Minimum Grade C for GCSE English (or equivalent).
  • An excellent and confident telephone manner.
  • Have an outwardly positive and passionate demeanour.
  • Attenion to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to maintain the honesty and integrity of the firm.

Training provider

  • Full Business Admin Apprenticeship incorporating NVQ at Level 2, where evidence will be gathered to build a portfolio showing your competency within the role.
  • Functional Skills to include Maths, English and IT (depending on award and previous qualifications) where a tested part will be completed. 
  • Complete a Technical Certificate to underpin your knowledge of working in the sector, this also comes with a tested part.
  • Full on the job training will also be provided by the employer as well as further training opportunities.
